The One Show: Judi Love explains bizarre BBC This Is MY House TV show to a bemused Eamonn Holmes

Judi Love has shared her top tips for This Is MY House viewers who are eager to play along at home. The comedian was appearing on The One Show ahead of Friday's episode of the BBC game show, which sees four people attempt to convince a celebrity panel that they are the real owner of a house.

Speaking to presenters Alex Jones and Harry Judd, Love explained that the key to playing the game is watching out for "the little things" that contestants give away. She said: "You get ones that know what drawer to go in – the tea drawer or the one where the fridge is – and you think to yourself 'they kind of understand what's going on the home'.

"But you also get the ones that over-act and in the end you realise 'that's too much'. They want to tell you information about the house, the history of the land, and you're like 'I don't know about that'.

"But usually the eye contact, how comfortable they are in the home and the ones that are a little bit more reserved. They don't have to sell it so much and they look uncomfortable when they see other people in their bed – can you imagine?"

In tonight's episode, Richard Madeley, Joel Dommett and Sindhu Vee join Love on the celebrity panel. They will try to work out which of the four 'Erwins' owns a two-bedroom 17th-century Scottish hunting lodge.

Asked if she was improving at This Is MY House as it returns for its second series, Love said: "I feel like I'm getting a little bit better but it's a game that we can all play. It makes you realise that some people can lie really well."

Broadcaster Eamonn Holmes joined Judi on The One Show's red sofa on Friday. Reflecting on the idea of letting a stranger into his home he said: "Keith Lemon once asked me to do Through the Keyhole – that was a definite no."

Reacting to Love's appearance on Twitter, viewer @Jennife93209893 said: "This is such a great show"

@sconya asked: "Judi would you be able to convince people that you live in a house that wasn't yours? #theoneshow"

The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. This is MY House continues tonight at 8.30pm.
