From a late-night takeaway in Nottingham to a Michelin-starred restaurant, you never know when you might bump into a famous face. Sports stars, actors and dancers like to paint the town red for a kebab, a few pints or some fine dining.
With Nottingham Forest going up to the Premier League and the England Cricket Team's triumph at Trent Bridge, there's been a flurry of sports stars hitting the town to celebrate. But where do those famous faces like to eat, drink and party?
When they weren't working at the England v New Zealand match, former cricketers Phil Tufnell and Michael Vaughan headed to the Dragon in Nottingham, a much-loved pub amongst the cricketing fraternity. A big favourite with commentating legend David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, he wrote about the pub in Long Row in his book Around the World in 80 Pints and once tweeted his approval: "The secret gem pub in Nottingham... The Dragon... excellent staff, ale and DJ. Music and DJ different class.....just right."

It turns out cricketers are big fans of The Big Melt, a cheese toastie stall at the Test Match (and a regular at Ruddington Market). The Sports Rush reported on Jonny Bairstow's diet after the batter scored his third Test century of the year to seal a record chase for his team.
Asked what he'd had in his tea break, he answered: "Cheese and ham toastie and a coffee” and hilariously vowed to repeat it for the rest of his career.
After their final day win against New Zealand, the England Cricket Team celebrated in style with a trip to Nottingham takeaway Mega Munch in Chapel Bar.
Owner Akmal Hussein posted a video on TikTok of the stars awaiting their kebabs. He said: "It was just a very happy time, the whole team were so happy. It was great to have them in, you know, those guys are heroes. They did a great job and it was a very special day!"
When the Reds triumphed at Wembley last month there was only one spot to celebrate the 1-0 win over Huddersfield, which catapulted them to the Premier League. And that was Raglan Road Irish Bar in Derby Road, a regular haunt for the footballers.
Brennan Johnson, Brice Samba, Joe Worrall, Joe Lolley, Keinan Davis and Djed Spence were among the players letting their hair down. As well as posing for photos with fans and singing karaoke, Samba had a stint DJ'ing and pouring drinks behind the bar.
Entertainment manager Ged Dowling joked in a social media post "new barman sacked for giving away free drinks" and filmed him saying "Raglan Road is the best place ever in Nottingham."
Just a stone's throw from the City Ground, it's no surprise Eva's Grill is popular with fans - and it's just as popular with the players and coaches.
Andy Reid, Steven Reid, Julian Larsson, Tobias Figueiredo and Joe Worrall have all swung by the Greek grill in Radcliffe Road, famed for its authentic chicken gyros and chicken shish. Owner Julian Korage said of Joe Worrall: "What a player, delivers intelligence, a true team leader, a proper gentleman."
Another famous face you might spot around town is actress Vicky McClure. When she's not on location, Vicky, who still lives in Nottingham, likes to frequent some of the city's best restaurants. Back in March, the Line of Duty and Trigger Point star was joined by her old mate, This is England writer and director Shane Meadows, for a Friday night out at Alchemilla.
The duo savoured the tasting menu at the Michelin-starred restaurant in Derby Road and posed for a photo with chef patron Alex Bond. He shared the picture on Instagram saying: "It was an absolute honour to cook for these 2 absolute legends Vicky McClure and one of my all time favourite directors Shane Meadows. I appreciate this is super fab boy but I don’t give a s***. They were ace. Lovely to meet you dudes."
The Strictly Come Dancing live tour waltzed into Nottingham for three sparkling shows at the Motorpoint Arena in February and in their downtime the celebrities and professionals enjoyed a taste of the city's nightlife.
While some of the dancers were reportedly cold water swimming at Spring Lakes Water Sports in Long Eaton, Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite and his professional partner South African Johannes Radebe made a more civilised choice.
The duo who made history as the show's first-ever male pairing went for drinks in the Lord Roberts, in Hockley, a pub that's always at the heart of the Pride celebrations. John and Johannes were welcomed by landlord Craig Pennington and staff and posed for photographs with them.
Craig, whose dog Robert also got in on the act, said: "The boys were so lovely and came back another two times. They really loved how safe the space felt and were so lovely with people wanting to take photos. If I remember rightly, one was drinking white wine and the other JD and coke. Craig Revel Horwood also spent a night here but I wasn’t on shift but again, he was really nice."
