Good news for anyone who's been absolutely gripped by The Night Agent on Netflix - a second season of the smash hit drama has now been officially confirmed. And news of its return comes as viewers claim to have 'lost sleep' after staying up all night to finish the show.
Arriving at a time when the return of dark thriller You has seen it be a main stay in the top 10 most watched shows for weeks now, The Night Agent launched on the worldwide streaming platform last week and has taken off in a big way; being declared the 'best show ever' by many Netflix viewers.
For anyone who hasn't rushed to binge it, we'll keep this article largely spoiler free, but you need to hurry up and get it watched, as it is the series that has got everyone talking online and in work places across the globe. Avoiding finding out what happens in it is becoming a total minefield as viewers rush to finish all 10 episodes and then publicly share their reactions with others.

The central character in The Night Agent is Gabriel Basso's Peter Sutherland, an FBI agent who stumbles upon a plan to blow up a metro train, but is then the focus of a conspiracy theory that puts him in the frame for being responsible.
Things escalate for Peter and the plot when receives a call on shift from Rose Larkin, who is in distressed at her aunt and uncle's home being invaded by intruders, with her then finding out that they've both been murdered.
The couple had 'hidden' links to the White House, which then lead to Rose herself being a prime target, as she and Peter go on the run and he is left wondering just who of his colleagues he can trust, especially the mysterious Diane Farr.
Other main players in The Night Agent, include villainous couple Dale and Ellen, who are determined to track down Peter and Rose and corrupt Vice President Redfield, whose daughter Maddie is kidnapped.
Will there be The Night Agent series two on Netflix?
Absolutely, with the news of its return confirmed on March 29. “The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share The Night Agent with the world,” creator Shawn Ryan said in a statement confirming its second season.
