Chaos Rising is the next Pokemon TCG set, and it seems to revolve around a Godzilla-style influx of Mega Pokemon ex this May.
Seeing as it's part of the "Mega Evolution" series, it may not come as a surprise that Pokemon TCG Chaos Rising revolves around Mega Pokemon ex - more will be arriving with this set. Indeed, Mega Floette ex is "wreaking havoc as night falls in Lumiose City." According to the Pokemon TCG Chaos Rising press release, players must call on the help of allies like Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex, and Mega Dragalge ex "to ward off this dangerous threat." This addition to the best card games is due to launch on May 22, 2026.
In terms of what the set provides, there are more than 120 cards featured across Chaos Rising. That includes over 20 Trainer cards, not to mention 35 cards with Pokemon and Trainer illustrations. It also looks as though we're getting the usual combo of booster packs along with an Elite Trainer Box and "various collections." You better start preparing for pre-orders now, because you just know those are gonna fly off shelves.

As per usual for Pokemon TCG sets, you'll be able to try Chaos Rising early at prerelease events from May 9, 2026. Meanwhile, Pokemon TCG Live players can get going with the expansion from May 21, 2026.
Regardless of when you're planning to play, it's a good idea to get your pre-order strategy locked down now. I'm not joking, though I wish I was; sets both new and old are increasingly difficult to get thanks to high demand and cheeky resellers scooping up as much stock as they can, so keeping certain retailers bookmarked and checking in on them regularly is your best bet. Personally, I'd recommend watching out for Miniature Market in the US and Wayland Games in the UK. They're often first to the punch and provide pretty reasonable prices.
