Aaron Rodgers began his Wednesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show by saying he wasn’t going to announce any decision for 2023 … and then he went ahead and announced his decision for 2023.
He wants to play for the New York Jets. And you can tell that the Jets were paying close attention to the show.
Rodgers, who had spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers, claimed that he was unsure about his playing future before a four-day darkness retreat. He went into the retreat thinking he’d retire and emerged wanting to play for the Jets.
Now, this move from Green Bay has been expected in recent weeks — especially the past few days.

Jets players were implying that a deal was done on social media, and Rodgers even had a reported wish list for the Jets. But this was the first time that Rodgers publicly said that he wanted to play in New York. And guess what: The Jets’ official Twitter account was ready for that revelation.
