The new rules Of Mother’s Day jewellery

There are few things that will make a 2026 mother wince like the sight of a Hallmark ‘Me to You’ teddy bear. Ahead of Mother’s Day, which this year falls on Sunday 15 March, supermarkets and high street retailers will fill their shelves with saccharine slogan trinkets. Think ‘MAMA’-emblazoned mugs, floral-embroidered cushions and rose-hued make-up bags aplenty.

And while breakfast in bed or a bunch of carnations may suffice for some mums, right about now others will be dropping not-so-subtle hints for something more long-lasting and thoughtful, such as jewellery that celebrates the intensity of motherhood, in all its joy and challenges. Pieces they can wear with pride and cherish for years, not just unwrap.
