Operation Mincemeat

In 1943, the Allies are determined to break Hitler’s grip on occupied Europe, and plan an all-out assault on Sicily; but they face an impossible challenge — how to protect a massive invasion force from potential massacre. It falls to two intelligence officers, Ewen Montagu (Colin Firth) and Charles Cholmondeley (Matthew Macfadyen), to dream the most inspired and improbable disinformation strategy of the war – centred on the most unlikely of secret agents: a dead man.

Operation Mincemeat is streaming on Sky Cinema with Now from January 6.

Crimes of the Future

Iconic filmmaker David Cronenberg takes viewers to the not-so-distant future, where the human species adapts to a synthetic environment and the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen) publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances.

Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed. Their mission is to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.

Crimes of the Future is streaming on Sky Cinema with Now from January 7.

Spector

A chance encounter between charismatic actress Lana Clarkson and legendary music producer Phil Spector ended in a fatal shooting that forever warped his legacy. How could one of the most important figures in 20th century pop music also be a monster?

This four-part docuseries peels back the layers of one of Hollywood’s most tragic crimes to paint a more human portrait of Lana Clarkson and the deeply disturbed man convicted of her murder.

Spector is streaming on Sky Documentaries with Now from January 8.

The Last Son

In late 19th century Sierra Nevada, murderous outlaw Isaac LeMay (Sam Worthington) discovers he is cursed by a deadly prophecy. In order to prevent his murder at the hands of his own children, he hunts down his estranged offspring, all while Isaac himself is being tracked by bounty hunters and the formidable Sheriff Solomon (Thomas Jane).

The Last Son is streaming on Sky Cinema with Now from January 8.
