The National Lottery winners who have gone public after scooping life-changing sums

Joe and Jess Thwaite have made lottery history by going public with their £184 million win - the biggest ever EuroMillions jackpot anyone has scooped in the UK. The record was previously held by an anonymous ticket-holder who banked £170 million in October 2019.

Previously, only six UK players who had won more than £100 million on the National Lottery had decided to tell the world about their new-found fortune. And in the history of the National Lottery, a select number of players - 15 - have won over £100 million.

People have bought luxury houses, purchased top-of-the-range cars and donated to charity, as well as finding many other ways of spending their prize money. Here are the other winners who went public after hitting massive lottery jackpots.
