The National is looking for a Live News Journalist who lives and breathes Scottish news and politics to join the team.
You will be expected to be able to lead on breaking news, working within a fast-paced small team to deliver content which will drive subscriptions, and print sales and help us reach new audiences.
You will be a digital native; someone who knows how to tell stories creatively for an online audience of millions of people every month. Experience working in audio or video formats and with data, and using social media at a professional level, would be helpful, but not necessary.
A strong knowledge of Scottish current affairs and the constitutional question is required.
Experience working in a national newsroom is desirable, and an up-to-date qualification in Scots law and knowledge of all levels of government is essential.
Candidates should be able to work from our Glasgow office at least three days a week. Salary depends on experience.
