The full order of service has been released ahead of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminister on Monday, September 19. The funeral, expected to be watched by tens of millions globally, takes place just over 10-days after the monarch's death on September 8, aged 96.
The funeral of Elizabeth II, Britain's longest-serving monarch, has been meticulously planned down to the last detail. Around 2,000 people are expected to attend, including work leaders, the British royal family, as well as key workers from across the country. Tens of thousands of people will also gather in the streets of london to watch the porcession.
The order of service, published by Buckingham Palace ahead of the funeral, includes some Her Majesty’s favourite hymns, prayers and recitals, chosen by the monarch herself. Before the service, the tenor bell will be tolled every minute for 96 minutes, reflecting the years of Queen Elizabeth II's life.
