Sadly passed away on January 29 at the Princess of Wales Hospital, "Fred", Aged 92. Beloved husband of Mavis for 69 years, father to Lorraine and the late Steven, brother to Ralph, father-in-law to Jan and Vernon, much loved grampy and great grampy, uncle, cousin and friend. Sylvia much loved wife of the late William (Bill) passed away peacefully 11 days before her 100th Birthday in Quarry Hall Care Home Cardiff. Formerly for many years she lived at Cole Court, Caerphilly. Sylvia is resting at Caerphilly Funeral Services, before the Service at St Martin's Church, Caerphilly, 11.00am Tuesday February 15 followed by cremation at the Wenallt Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium 11.45am. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 1 2022, aged 81 years. Beloved wife of Len, cherished mother of Christopher and Catherine, and loving grandmother of Jac. John Anthony Griffin
Passed away peacefully on Saturday January 22 at POW Bridgend after a fourteen year battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Cared for to the end by his devoted wife of 64 years, Rita, brother to Mary, and father to five sons, Tim, Chris, Mark, Danny, and Martin. Proud grandfather to 15 Griffins, and great grandfather to Mila. The family greatly appreciate the care and attention given to him by the staff on Ward 8 at the hospital during his final weeks. Requiem mass at Our Lady's RC Church in Llantwit Major at noon on Friday, February 11. Family burial to follow, family flowers only. Peacefully on January 23 at The Royal Gwent Hospital, Graham of Blackwood and formerly of Nelson, beloved husband of Jennifer, oldest brother of Christopher, Michael and the late Raymond and Margaret. Fond brother in law of Sian, Brenda and Julie, also a special and much loved uncle to Anthony and Mathew (his boys), Helen, Howell and families. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Peacefully passed away on January 23 2022 in hospital surrounded by her daughters. Adored and much loved wife of the late Lloyd Davies. Mum to Lydia & Verity. Mother in law to Michael. She will be deeply missed by all family and friends. Peacefully on Wednesday, January 19 at Tall Trees care home in Oxfordshire after a long illness. Eira, 86, beloved widow of Keith, devoted mother of Paul and Anne and grandmother to Oscar and Gabriel, cousin to Lynn. During the '70s and '80s, Eira taught RE at Lewis Girls' School, Ystrad Mynach. Service at midday on Monday, February 14 , St Simon and St Jude's Church, Milton under Wychwood, Chipping Norton, followed by a private cremation. Peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, following a long, courageous battle, Diane of Ty Heulog, Pontyclun, aged 63 years. Betsi Griffiths
Peacefully on the 31st of January 2022, Betsi Griffiths passed away at the age of 84 years old (formerly of 4 Cambrian Avenue, Gilfach Goch.) She spent the last year in Cwmgwili with her family. Betsi was the headmistress at Ysgol Gymraeg Tonyrefail before retiring. She was an active member within several communities and enjoyed socialising in all of them. A public funeral will be held at Coychurch Crematorium, Bridgend on the 16th of February at 12 o'clock in the afternoon, with tea to follow at GGCA Cambrian Avenue. Family flowers only.
