A £2.7 million house in Formby is the most expensive home to be sold in Merseyside over the last 12 months.
The property on Victoria Road was sold for that price last June, according to data from the Land Registry. That’s more than was paid for any other property sold between January 2022 and April 2023 in our area.
A total of nine properties have been sold for over £2 million in Merseyside in that time. The next most expensive properties sold in our region both went for £2.5m, a house in Caldy Road, Wirral, and a home in Selworthy Road, Southport.

A £60 million flat on Stanhope Gate in Mayfair, one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, is the most expensive home to be sold in England and Wales over the last 12 months. That’s more than was paid for any other property sold between January 2022 and April 2023.
A total of 6,058 properties have been sold for over £2 million in England and Wales in that time. Almost two thirds of those (3,908) were in Greater London. Surrey had the next most (467), followed by Hertfordshire (202), and Buckinghamshire (137).
