All dog owners can understand what it’s like having a four-legged companion by your side, it can bring so much joy. However, with the current cost of living crisis, not everyone might be able to afford to become a dog owner.

Being a pet owner can be very pricey, from the price to buy a puppy, to the rising costs of it growing up, it can be expensive, not to mention the insurance costs. New generational loan broker, Sambla, has revealed a list of the most expensive dog breeds in the UK based on their cost to buy, annual food costs, annual insurance costs, initial puppy vaccination course and annual booster, and annual grooming costs, reports Wales Online.

Sambla said: “It’s important to remember that a dog is for life and with that comes a financial commitment. As our study has shown, essential costs like food, grooming and insurance can all add up to a substantial yearly cost.
