‘Controversial’ is not the chief adjective anyone would wish to be attributed to their wedding day. But this is the reality when it comes to the recent nuptials of British Olympian Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay, the influencer daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay, who married in a lavish ceremony on December 27.
There was certainly an elephant in the room as Peaty, 31, and Ramsay, 25, said ‘I do’ at Bath Abbey last week. The majority of Peaty’s family members had been uninvited from the event (including his own mother, Caroline Peaty) following a very public fallout between Peaty and his relatives. Bethany Peaty, Adam Peaty’s sister, was the only member of his immediate family present at the wedding.
