Nothing says good morning like a freshly brewed cup of coffee, and, well, Morning’s brand new coffee machine.
Revolutionising the capsule coffee game, you can expect the quality of barista-brewed coffee at the twist of an interactive OLED dial, the push of a button or a tap of your phone on the nifty iOS or Android app.
What makes the Morning coffee machine different?
This is one for the artisan coffee lovers. Where a standard Nespresso machine makes the same cuppa over and over again, Morning’s design has the ability to adjust brew temperature, pressures, and infusion times, or you can simply pick one of the brand’s 10 ‘Ready-to-Brew’ recipes that have been developed by a team of coffee-connoisseurs over the past three years.
Whilst this may sound niche for those of you who aren’t die hard fans, the caffeine enthusiasts will be impressed by the breadth of flavour and formats it can produce by simply using classic pods that are compatible with Nespresso machines.
Even better, the brand has collated a selection of capsules from its favourite roasters on its own marketplace, that go beyond the Starbucks and Nespressos of the world, offering more complex flavours than your shop-bought pods - sure to impress even the pickiest of the please-don’t-ask-for-sugar bearded East London baristas. Each of these has their own profile on the app, so your machine will deliver the perfect brew with the optimum temperature, pressure, and extraction time settings for that specific coffee.
The design
The sleek, understated, compact design will quietly elevate any kitchen worktop, with its circular OLED screen that is as polite as your local barista, wishing you Good Morning and telling you to enjoy your coffee every time. Available in white or black, the colours will fit in with any appliance-aesthetic you’re channelling.
Even better, unlike many machines on the market which produce so much noise that earmuffs would be preferable, Morning’s design is so quiet you can barely tell it’s there. The drip tray sits on top of a pressure pad so on those dreary Monday mornings where you’ve even forgotten to use a coffee cup, you won’t end up with any mess to clear up.
Connectivity
Whilst the app is experiencing a couple of teething issues, the brand plans to relaunch a new and improved version before the end of August, so any minor bugs will be ironed out, leaving you to enjoy your Cup of Joe with no technological setbacks.
So wake up and smell the coffee from the machine you’ve all bean waiting for (sorry…).
Verdict
If you’re in the market for a machine that delivers great coffee, looks great, and all for an affordable price, The Morning Machine ticks all the boxes. The added features may seem a touch intense for those simply looking for a daily caffeine hit, but make for a brilliant purchase for the coffee enthusiasts in East London and beyond.
