This is the moment Forest fan Robert Biggs ran across the pitch and headbutted Billy Sharp, Sheffield United's captain. The short clip showed how Biggs turned his life upside down when he ploughed straight into Sharp who was standing in a grey tracksuit with his hands in his pockets watching the aftermath of his team's defeat.
Thousands of jubilant fans surged on to the hallowed City Ground pitch at the end of Nottingham Forest's euphoric play-off match with Sheffield United. One of those was Biggs, 30, who was jailed on Thursday, May, for 24 weeks for assault, causing bodily harm to Sharp. He can be seen on the footage running through the crowd.
The coloured smoke from flares hangs over the mass throng of fans as Biggs, in a bright yellow, charges along and into Sharp at the far left of the picture standing still with three others on the sideline. The victim needed four stitches to his lip in the short-lived attack, while Biggs ran off.

It was only after publicity that Biggs, a season ticket holder for a number of years, realised the implications of his actions. He had been drinking, Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard, which had "clearly affected his judgement," explained his lawyer, Rachel Gowans.
He watched the video, saw reports on social media and, "does the right thing and phones the police and identified himself and said, 'this is me...you need to speak to me'".
A full-time electrical engineer, earning £55,000-a-year, Biggs, of Church View, Ilkeston, threw it all away when he carried out the attack - which the judge said proved to her that he was running towards Sharp and "that you dodged all the other players to get to him". The CPS released the short clip after it was played in court as Biggs was sentenced.
As well as the prison sentence, he will have to pay Sharp £500 compensation and is banned from the game for ten years - the terms of the order are still being drafted by the prosecution. He also has to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and costs of £85.
