The moment cheeky Princess Charlotte left Kate Middleton red-faced in public

A few words have been used to describe Princess Charlotte: sassy, fiesty and daring are among them. Both The Queen and Kate Middleton have previously joked that the Princess is 'in charge'.

And The Mirror has now revealed the moment Princess Charlotte left her mother, Kate Middleton, red-faced in public. Seven-year-old Charlotte left her mum shocked after sticking her tongue out to the unwitting public on a day trip out.

Kate didn't look too impressed by her daughter's cheeky behaviour. Charlotte surprised everyone by sticking her tongue out instead of waving to some passers-by.

The incident occurred in 2019 when Princess Charlotte attended a sailing regatta on the Isle of Wight. She was with her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, alongside Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

Kate showed her daughter the people stood below the Royals, and looked out the window to wave to them. However, instead of wave, Princess Charlotte had other ideas.

The young Royal stuck her tongue out, much to the amusement of everyone around her. As a result, Mum Kate leans forward to say something to Charlotte, then quickly moves her on.

This rare, unplanned moment shows even the Royal Family are beyond predicting exactly what their little ones will do next. Princess Charlotte has now joined her parents on many Royal visits, and is taking up a more prominent role in the Family, having recently cheered on the Lionesses with her Dad, William, in a pre-recorded video ahead of the women's victory at the Euros 2022 final last weekend (31 July).
