The Masked Singer fans have been torn between two big names for the identity of Rhino.
Busted star Charlie Simpson and X Factor winner James Arthur have been the two names in the running over the past few weeks but Rhino's identity appeared to be exposed beyond all doubt on Saturday with a three word clue.
In Rhino's clue VT, the mystery celebrity was heard mentioned the guess that he could be James Arthur before adding: "But you said no."
Busted took their single You Said No to the top of the charts in 2003 and this reference appeared to be the final reassurance that Rhino is Charlie Simpson.
After a tense final, Rhino was crowned the winner of The Masked Singer UK and revealed to be Charlie.
Rhino's identity was revealed after Fawn was exposed as All Saints star Natalie Appleton and Phoenix as Ricky Wilson.
At the beginning of this series, Joel Dommett predicted he'd guessed the identity of Rhino correctly and wrote a name down on a piece of paper.
Jonathan Ross reminded Joel of this and the host revealed he had in fact correctly guessed Charlie after Rhino's first performance.
Commenting on his experience, Charlie said: "It's so weird! It's so much weirder [without the head on]."
Explaining an earlier clue involving a mug, Charlie told Jonathan Ross: "The first time we went on your show, Jonathan, you gave us a mug each, me, Matt and James. And it had our faces engraved on it."
The chat show host explained him and his children painted the band's faces on mugs attempting to make them as unflattering as possible.
Reflecting on the experience, Charlie added: "I was terrified the entire time. The thing I was scared most of was remembering lyrics. I often forget lyrics to my own songs on stage, so Try, the last version of Try I did, was the only time I didn't really think about it and I tried to enjoy it."
Fans of the Busted singer took to Twitter to share their excitement at Charlie winning and finally being unveiled.
One wrote: "Busted was my first concert back in 2004 theres no way I was going to get rhino wrong #MaskedSingerUK," and another shared: "I said it was @CharlieSimpson from day 1! There was never any doubt! I was a megaaaaaa #Busted fan back in the day! & Still have all the albums now! YAY! Congratulations Charlie! You were amazing! #MaskedSinger #MaskedSingerUK @MaskedSingerUK." (sic)
"Charlie Simpson has such a distinctive and beautiful voice so glad that he won well deserved #rhino #CharlieSimpson #maskedsingeruk," a third added.
