In a double elimination of The Masked Singer on Saturday, Feburary 4 it was revealed that Steps star Claire Richards was the voice behind 'Knitting' and Daisy May Cooper was that of 'Otter'.
And while it took some time for the celebrity panel - made up of Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross - to guess who was behind the mask, Claire has revealed that before she had even sung a note her daughter had cracked the case and declared she was, in fact, Knitting.
Speaking to ITV's Lorraine on Monday, February 6, the mum-of-two said that during her first performance she had adopted a country style to try and throw the panel off the scent. She said: "I really went for it as well, by the end of it I couldn't breathe so I thought, do you know what? I'm just going to stand and sing and if they get me, they get me."

Lorraine responded: "And a lot of people did. Your wee girl was not fooled. She thought 'that's my mum in there'." "I hadn't even sung a note," Claire confirmed.
Questioning how Claire's daughter Daisy knew it was her, the 45-year-old Steps star told Lorraine it was down to a trailer for The Masked Singer. "The advert came on the tv just before Christmas and she just went: 'That's you. You're on The Masked Singer'. And I went 'Don't be so ridiculous'. I remember saying once if I ever did it, I would love to be a giant pom pom. And she obviously just... [remembered]."
Claire - who many at home had believed was Knitting all along, including her bandmate of 25 years Ian 'H' Watkins - was eliminated from the show after receiving the fewest votes from the studio audience and said after taking off her woollen mask: "I thought you were going to get me from day one, I was so chuffed when you didn't. I am a massive, massive fan of this show, I feel like a fan who has won a competition."
Posting on social media after it had been revealed that she was Knitting, Claire thanked her fans and voiced her love of the experience she had had.
She posted: "FINALLY!!! The secret is out!! Or not so secret. What an absolutely wonderful ride it has been, being a part of #themaskedsingeruk I am so happy to have had the privilege to sing for you all in such an amazing show and one that I ACTUALLY LOVE SO MUCH!
"I don’t think I managed to fool too many of you but THANKYOU for all your tweets, posts, funny pics and messages. I will now be posting them all for England. I’m still in the game though trying to guess the remaining Characters but for now that’s ME #KNITTING Out!"
The Masked Singer continues on Saturday, February 11 at 7pm on ITV.
