Joel Dommett sent viewers into a frenzy when he made an X-rated joke during The BRIT Awards on Saturday night. The Masked Singer host caused fellow presenter Maya Jama's jaw to drop in shock as he made the "filthy" quip during the live show from London's The O2 Arena.
Joel, 37, referred to legendary singer and pianist Elton John, 75, as he made a joke about his black and white suit for the glitzy awards, saying it looked like a piano. The presenter is known for his eye-catching suits on the ITV guessing game The Masked Singer, and he shared a joke as he chatted with Brits host Mo Gilligan.
Asked how The Brits compares with The Masked Singer he said: "I love wearing the mad suits here as well. It's a proper party, it continues the party." And he continued with a grin: "Tonight I feel like I look like a piano. I'm ready to be fingered by Elton John."

Love Island host Maya, who was sitting next to Joel at the awards, couldn't hide her shock at the double entendre. Viewers flocked to Twitter to have their say.
@PRSRVPRDX tweeted: "'I'm ready to be fingered by Elton John' – Joel Dommett The BRIT Awards is an'an absolute trainwreck." And @Mysteron_Voice said: "Oh my life, completely unnecessary Elton John related filth from Joel Dommett there, people's careers have been finished for less ..."
@adamsmith_87 said: "Just when I thought the #Brits2023 had hit absolute rock bottom. You couldn’t make this stuff up." And @BenTimberlake_asked: "Did I just hear Joel Dommett say he’s ready to be fingered by Elton John on live television?
@enoughforlivies exclaimed: "What the hell." And @honeysgeo said: "Time froze when joel dommett said he’s ‘ready to be fingered by elton john’ on live TV."
Another interview at the Brits was also slammed by viewers as Mo chatted with award-winning Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Mo talked to Leigh-Anne about her favourite moment from the awards over the years, and asked what fans can expect from her this year after Little Mix's hiatus, but fans were left fuming by one of his questions.
The Masked Singer panellist turned to Leigh-Anne, who welcomed twins with her partner Andre Gray in August 2021, and asked her who was babysitting. He asked the Black Magic and Woman Like Me hitmaker: "Who is babysitting tonight, because tomorrow's Sunday? Are you going out? Having it large?" And she replied: "Nana's at home."
However, his comment sparked annoyance with viewers taking to social media to blast the question. @maddenslucy tweeted: "Mo asking leigh anne who's looking after the children is literally so annoying when women are constantly reduced to being questioned about motherhood their whole lives. It's not like she was a part of the biggest girlband in the world or anything?"
@ElenaSurat17 commented: "Actually wanted to defend #mogilligan as I do generally like him, but as if he just asked Leigh-Anne, who was babysitting..... seriously, mo?" And @gemma_threlfall wrote: "Please tell me Mo Gilligan didn't just ask Leigh-Anne who's babysitting tonight."
