The Masked Singer UK is almost drawing to a close. The 2023 series kicked off on New Year's Day and now has its inalists following a double elimination that saw Jacket Potato who was Bon Jovi member Richie Sambora, and Jellyfish, who was revealed to be Glee star Amber Riley, sent home.
Now just three contestants remain in the competition, Rhino, Fawn and Phoenix. The characters will continue to battle it out on stage in an attempt to bamboozle the judges and viewers at home and win The Masked Singer 2023 title.
Back on the panel this year is Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora, with plenty of guest judges along the way, including Stephen Mulhern and Peter Crouch. Meanwhile, Joel Dommett is back on hosting duties.

Phoenix clues
Week one
Phoenix said they were "hot" and that they had risen from the ashes. They said they knew how to follow a trail and their riddle was: "I'm all flame and fire, my feathers ablaze, it may intrigue you to learn, I've been a catchphrase."
Week three
Phoenix admitted they "treaded the boards" which could refer to the stage, or perhaps something a bit more left field like a diving board. There was also a football in the background of the VT. Other clues referred to Phoenix being "magical", and referenced them being "independent" while there was also a director in the shot.
Week five
Phoenix's fifth-week clue package began with them drinking from a mirror ball juice bottle, prompting Mo to suggest that it could be someone from Strictly Come Dancing. The short teaser also drew focus on a suit of armour with a paint brush on it.
Phoenix then said: "You could call me an Apprentice but would an Apprentice appear on the most watched TV show in 30 years?" Davina suggested that this could mean that they were in a soap like Coronation Street.
Week six
- "I fear deep water, but diving that's another thing"
- Mind your head
- Roses in the VT
- An extra clue of 2006 was given
Week seven
- Blue pop
- 2012 look ahead
- Office chair stand
- Past, present and future
- Anagram is narrator
- Frequency
Judges' guesses
Week one
Jonathan suggested David Tennant from the way Phoenix walks and acts and the Doctor Who link of the Doctors regenerating. Davina said Nicholas Hoult as he has re-invented himself from being a child actor, Mo said Joe Sugg as he saw that Joe's family survived the fire of London and also suggested Mick Hucknall.
Rita Ora said Jason Orange from Take That, due to the colour of the costume.
Week three
Running with the diving theme, Davina suggested it could be Jason Statham, while Rita went down a Game of Thrones route and guessed Alfie Allen.
Mo guessed Steven Mulhern while Jonathan Ross, going with the football fan theme, went for Robbie Williams.
Following a clue referring to time travel, Mo and Jonathan also followed up a suggestion from last week that it could be a former Doctor Who, and potentially David Tennant.
Week five
Jonathan thought Phoenix could be EastEnders star Sid Owen. Meanwhile, Rita suggested that Dragons' Den star Peter Jones could be Phoenix. This, however, did not go down well with the other judges or the studio audience.
David Tennant was, once again, suggested by Davina. Then, Mo thought that Glee star Darren Criss could be behind the mask.
Week six
Judges' guesses included Anton Du Beke, Paddy McGuinness, David Tennant, and Michael Ball.
Week seven
Davina stuck with David Tennant, Mo went with Luke Evans after going for a Cardiff City/Bluebirds/Welsh connection.
Peter Crouch thinks Mackenzie Crook, while Rita went with Gary Barlow and Jonathan picked Razorlight's Johnny Borrell.
Fan theories
Some fans believe Phoenix is Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson, others have said Michael Ball and some have also agreed with David Tennant.
In week three people guessed Harry Potter's Tom Felton, Doctor Who's Matt Smith and James Buckley. Names like Todd Carty, Kai Widdrington and Jake Quickenden were batted around on social media in week five.
In week six viewers remained bamboozled by Phoenix, names on social media included Ricky Wilson and Welsh actor Michael Sheen.
