Ghost has become the first character to be voted off the 2023 series of The Masked Singer. Six of the 12 characters competed against each other in the first episode of the series and Ghost ended up in the bottom three before being unveiled as football legend Chris Kamara.
During the show, judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan and viewers try to guess who the celebrities are behind the mask. But none of the judges guessed it was Chris and were very surprised to see him behind the mask. However, a number of fans correctly guessed on social media.
During the guesses, Jonathan thought Ghost might be Love Island narrator Iain Stirling due to a 'Scottish accent' which Rita agreed with and Jonathan also joked that it could be Nicola Sturgeon. Davina said Scottish singer Marti Pellow while Mo was very confident it was John Bishop.

Ghost went up against Otter to stay in the show and performed Save the Last Dance for Me by Michael Buble but ended up in the bottom three with Knitting and Cat and Mouse after the audience decided to save Otter.
When Chris pulled off the disguise, Jonathan said: "I've got to say though Chris, that is a good look for you... I feel bad because I know you can sing." And Rita said she would do a duet with Chris one day. Chris said he took part in the show for his grandchildren and said that he can't wait to see their reactions when they see it is him under the mask.
During the VT before performing, Ghost gave the following clues: "I've wailed with some of the best" before listing off rooms in the castle they live in. They also said they liked spooky things. Ghost came out to the theme tune of Midsomer Murders.
Their riddle was: "I might be a ghost and that means I'm dead, but I'm fully immortal in drink with a head."
