Joel Dommett is ready for a new series of The Masked Dancer - and he's given us a hint on who could be behind the costumes.
The new series is set to return to ITV for a brand new set of episodes later this Autumn, with characters including Scissors, Prawn Cocktail, Pearly King, Candlestick and Tomato Sauce.
Ahead of the new series, fresh from filming, the show's host Joel teased what fans can expect from the upcoming series, including a show first which involves the entire panel and himself.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, he said: "What I love about The Masked Dancer is that they really allow the silliness to be amplified because there's no foundation of having the voice.
"When you've not got that, it's so mad. Like it's even more mad then The Masked Singer. It's wild, we've got some amazing characters; there's some really special people on it."
Teasing what was to come in the new series, he said: "There's some people who embrace it in different ways that have ever been before; they play the game in a different way then has been played before."
He also admitted he thought he had clocked on to who one of the people behind the mask was, convinced it was his friend - before they were unmasked and he realised that wasn't the case.
"There's one person in particular I definitely thought it was someone that I knew quite well. And so I was interacting with them in their costume in a way of like, how's it going? You know, nice to see you," he added.
"You're doing so well, pat on the shoulder; the way that you interact with friends. It was genuinely embarrassing for me when they took the mask off and it wasn't them. I was like, oh, I've really been completely bamboozled. So it was very weird, but fun."
In a show first, the panel will take part in a very special routine - but Joel admits panellist Jonathan Ross is not quite up to it.
"The panel do some dancing for the first time in The Masked Singer and The Masked Dancer; we do a full routine. The panel get involved and they're so good. It's just joyous," he said.
"Oti's just incredible to watch, she's so good at it. And I don't think I'm doing anyone any disservice by saying this, but Jonathan, it's not his forte. His forte is being a legend of television and an incredible, funny, charismatic chat show host. His forte is not the dance."
Cadbury and The Princes Trust have teamed up for the Give A Doubt campaign, which encourages adults to share their doubts to help young people overcome theirs, and Joel insists despite his TV fame, he struggles with doubts too.
"It's really important to feel nervous. Almost on a daily basis, I usually do something that I feel nervous about and I think that's quite a good thing. It's good to condition your body into doing it on a regular basis," he added.
"Because if we just carry on all doing things that we're comfortable doing, then it probably means you're not really pushing yourself."
*Joel is taking part in the Cadbury ‘Hear from a Hero’ competition, alongside Craig David and Charithra Chandran. Three young people will have the chance to win a video chat with one of the heroes, to discuss their doubts and how they overcame them. Competition entry is open now till 31 st July.
