Joel Dommett was left red-faced after a wardrobe blunder on the upcoming series of The Masked Dancer.
The ITV host is set to front the upcoming series of the guessing game show, alongside panellists Oti Mabuse, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and newest recruit Peter Crouch. He is known for his exciting and wild suit choices, but one this series left him feeling red-faced as he noticed some awkwardly placed embellishments.
Joel recalled the awkwardly placed details as he chatted about the upcoming new series, which kicks off on Saturday September 3. He appeared alongside Davina, Peter and Oti at the ITV Autumn entertainment launch.
Speaking about the wardrobe blunder, he told The Mirror and other press: "We had one suit. It was a space themed episode and I had this suit made, which was beautiful with stars and galaxies on it.
"But what they hadn't foreseen when they made it... they had two blue ball planets exactly what where you'd expect. Once you see it, you can't see it. Two at the back as well."
It's not the only time Joel has been left red-faced this series after he mistook an unknown celebrity for one of his friends.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, he said: "There's one person in particular I definitely thought it was someone that I knew quite well. And so I was interacting with them in their costume in a way of like, how's it going? You know, nice to see you.
"You're doing so well, pat on the shoulder; the way that you interact with friends. It was genuinely embarrassing for me when they took the mask off and it wasn't them. I was like, oh, I've really been completely bamboozled. So it was very weird, but fun."
Joel also teased one of his outfits this year has a Pink Panther vibe.
He said: "Yes absolutely one is very pink and has a Pink Panther vibe. We’ve gone for some very bright ones, especially for the final we’ve gone all out. It's an exciting array. I love it. It’s a really fun part of it.
"I love putting it all together and helping to make sure that we get the right mix of crazy and interesting and making it feel different for each episode. We're reusing suits as well, so that’s really nice. It's one of my favourite parts of the whole process."
