The Mandolorian is set to begin its third season in just over a month following a two-year wait.

Season 2 of the beloved Disney+ show was released in December 2020.

Disney had excited fans about the third series of the American space Western show by sharing a teaser trailer at its annual expo D23 in September 2022.

This included an appearance from Babu Frik, who was nearly killed in The Rise of Skywalker, Greef Karga, and the fan-favourite, Baby Yoda.

With the release date approaching, Disney eventually released a full trailer during the NFL Wild Card Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, January 16.

Here is everything it revealed.

What did The Mandalorian’s season 3 trailer reveal?

The trailer begins with Din Djarin explaining what it means to be a Mandalorian, before revealing that he will be going to Mandalore to be “forgiven for [his] transgressions”.

“Our people are scattered like stars in the galaxy,” Djarin says. “What are we? What do we stand for?

“Being a Mandalorian is not just about learning how to fight. You also have to know how to navigate the galaxy. That way, you’ll never be lost.

“I’m going to Mandalore so that I may be forgiven for my transgressions. This is the way.”

As he is speaking, we get glimpses of several characters we can expect to see in the third season, including the co-pilot droid for Djarin’s N-1.

Djarin and Grogu are seen reunited as they head to Mandalore.

Fans were quick to note the absence of Bo-Katan Kryze in the trailer. The last time we saw her, she felt threatened by Djarin as he held the Darksaber.

When is The Mandolorian’s third season coming out?

This will be released on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.

It will have eight episodes, directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
