Manchester United returned to winning ways ahead of Sunday’s clash with Leeds United with a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday.
The Red Devils struggled in the first half as Graham Potter’s side dominated for much of the 45 minutes, however they failed to turn that into an advantage.
After getting booed off the pitch following the conclusion of the opening 45 minutes, interim manager Ralf Rangnick made a tactical switch at half time that helped turn the game in their favour.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Rangnick revealed the thinking behind his decision, that ended up working so well.
Via the Manchester Evening News, he said: "Of course, we told them at half-time, the question was do we change formation or do we change the way we attack? And we decided to stick to our 4-2-3-1 and told our wingers, Anthony Elanga and Jadon Sancho, on the ball side to attack the centre-backs.
"And that meant our full-backs had to jump to their full-backs, which paid off when we scored the goal but also the situation with Anthony Elanga and the red card from Dunk.”
Leeds will certainly have to be aware of that potential tactical switch for this weekend’s match, particularly given their man-to-man marking approach out of possession.
If Rangnick adopts something similar this weekend, Leeds may have to revert to a back three once again, which so far this season has not worked out.
If Marcelo Bielsa sticks to his more familiar 4-1-4-1, the system could become a little chaotic if the full backs follow the wingers centrally.
So with that in mind, Bielsa certainly faces a big decision this weekend on how he sets up his team.
