The making of a misogynist: How Andrew Tate inherited his father's toxic beliefs

Andrew Tate has long credited his father, Emory, as his biggest inspiration. “I would argue I had the best father on earth,” he said on a podcast in 2023. “He bestowed upon me the honours and principles and morals I live by today.”

Tate is a self-described misogynist and his principles include male supremacy and allegedly celebrating violence against women. He and his brother Tristan are currently under criminal investigation in three countries. In Romania, they are accused of trafficking more than 30 women for sexual exploitation, as well as money laundering.
