Let's start here: The RBA's lifted the cash rate
If you missed it, the Reserve Bank has lifted its interest rates by half a percentage point, taking its cash rate target to 2.35 per cent.
It's the fifth month in a row that the RBA has lifted rates and is the most aggressive series of rate rises since 1994, when it lifted the cash rate from 4.75 per cent to 7.5 per cent in just five months.
The current cash rate of 2.35 per cent makes it the highest level since the beginning of 2015.
RBA governor Philip Lowe said the central bank's board "expects to increase interest rates further over the months ahead", so there won't be any easing to cost of living pressures any time soon.
That said, he's also given some tentative indications that the bank may start slowing the pace of rate rises from next month, acknowledging that borrowers are yet to feel the full impact of the rate rises in past months.

We heard more about Canada's stabbing attacks
One of the suspects in the killings of 10 people in Saskatchewan yesterday has been found dead, but his brother — who is the other suspect — remains on the run. Here's what else we know:
- Police say 31-year-old Damien Sanderson was found dead on an Aboriginal reserve in the James Smith Cree Nation, not far from the sites of the stabbings
- They say Damien had visible injuries and do not believe they were self-inflicted
- Police also suspect 30-year-old Myles Sanderson, his younger brother, has also sustained some injuries and may be seeking medical attention in Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan
- Canadian police have already charged both brothers with first-degree murder
- Police still haven't provided a potential motive for the attacks, but the chief of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations suggested the stabbings could be drug-related
- Meanwhile, the first victims of the mass stabbing have been identified, including a mother of two, a 77-year-old widower and a first responder

- Don't Worry Darling. The first reviews for Olivia Wilde's psychological thriller after it premiered at the Venice Film Festival and let's just say, they're mixed to say the least. Some critics have praised the film that's mired in controversy, but others say it falls short of expectations. (For what it's worth, it's got an initial Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 39 per cent.) Keen to see for yourself? You'll have to wait until it hits Australian cinemas on October 6.
- Adele. She's got an EGO — but not the kind you're thinking of. The singer has won an Emmy for her One Night Only special filmed at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, adding to her swag of Grammys and her Oscar for Best Original Song for Skyfall. Now all she needs is a Tony Award before she reaches EGOT status.
One more thing: The Veronicas have split
The pop duo fronted by Brisbane twins Lisa and Jess Origliasso is no more, if their Instagram account is anything to go by.
Their official The Veronicas account has been wiped of all its posts, leaving only a cryptic quote from Khalil Gibran in their bio that reads:
"Love knows not its own depth, until the hour of separation."
But what does it mean? Well, both Lisa and Jess have released teaser videos on their separate Instagram accounts for solo music dropping tomorrow, September 7 under the names Lisa Veronica and Jessie Veronica.
Is it all a dramatic publicity stunt? Only time will tell.
