You’d wanna sit down for this, lest you fall off the chair laughing. User @rilettepeterson on TikTok is narrating their experience of working at The Cheesecake Factory in Chicago, and it is far from being usual. In the video, which they uploaded to the platform on November 17, 2025, Rilette is speaking about the time they were serving drinks at their workplace and accidentally dropped it on a little girl, causing her to let out a “baby ambulance siren cry.”
Rilette did not have experience working as a server before their employment at The Cheescake Factory in Chicago. However, when it came to applying for a server role at the famous food joint, they stated that they previously worked at TGI Fridays in the same position, but that cost them heavily, as highlighted in their TikTok video, one, which is being discussed.
User @rilettepeterson did not anticipate the outcome of her Cheesecake Factory work experience
Starting their video strongly, user @rilettepeterson stated that they were the “worst server ever” and that they didn’t know that they had to serve people food. They were under the impression that their only job would be to take orders and ask people about their restaurant experiences. Therefore, when they were asked to take the order from a table and serve the items, they were taken aback and became a little overwhelmed.
In the video, Rilette reveals that they approached a table of two parents and several kids and asked for their drink order. All of them wanted pink lemonade. Things were going comparatively fine up until this point, but soon things started to go downhill. Rilette, in the video, while illustrating how it happened, reveals that he dropped the pink lemonade drinks contained in glass jars on one of the kids, who then burst into tears. Overwhelmed by the situation, Rillette rushed to a changing room and started crying before disappearing from the location. Their co-workers and superiors reached out to them and wanted to know if they were okay, but they didn’t reply.
People on TikTok are bamboozled by user @rilettepeterson’s Cheesecake Factory story

A lot of people also shared their experiences of being in similar circumstances. User @natalieangeliaa wrote, “I once spilled 4 cokes all over a table and they were so mad at me they asked for a new server.” User @cheegirl_ wrote, “I once spilled a cup of ice water on a toddler (the parents weren’t mad at all lol) and a DIFFERENT table left a review saying I’d spilled hot tea on an infant.” User @venus777fire had some wisdom to share, and wrote, “as a veteran server I would have expected Cheesecake Factory to have like a two week long training process before you can even step foot on the floor even if you have experience. This is insane lol.”
How common is it for people to order the pink lemonade at The Cheescake Factory?
