There's nothing quite like a good cup of tea, but with so much choice of cafes in Leeds it can be hard to pin down the best.
But one spot which has earned its badge as one of the best is Teapot in Leeds Kirkgate Market. The spot is based at the bottom end of the market and while small, has accumulated a grand amount of four and five star reviews.
It has been described by reviews on Teapot's website as an "absolute gem" with an "awesome range" of teas. It is a classic coffee shop - serving hot drinks and homemade cakes however there is a huge range of alternative flavoured teas.

Teapot have been running for over seven years. In 2016, staff were moved to the new Food Hall in Leeds Kirkgate Market which "gets busier and busier each day", owners say. The company started out as tea suppliers, and customers who attend the café are also able to take home their speciality tea blends of coffee bean products to enjoy at home too.
On the menu there is Rooibos tea, fruit tea, Pu-erh tea, Oolong tea, Yerba Mate, green tea, black tea, Belgian hot chocolate, mocha, masala espresso, cappuccino, lattes, flat white, americano, and more. Honey, cream, and whipped cream can be added to all drinks.
For coffee lovers there are flavours of oranges, cinnamon, chocolate, cherry, coconut, caramel, rum or Irish Whiskey flavoured coffee beans. There are a range of homemade cakes from chocolate cake with whipped cream, apple pie with cream, halva with nuts, chocolate sponge cake with custard, nut meringue and icing.
There is also cheesecake with Jaffa Cake, peaches, on poppy, coconut and almond sponge. The best part is that the cakes are £1 each.
A spokesperson for Teapot said: "We are passionate about our teas and import the best quality tea leaves from various parts of the world, from best Fairtrade plantations such as Japan, India, Ceylon and continental Europe. Most of our products come directly from the farms so that we make sure we pick the best quality products.
"We offer luxurious teas at affordable prices, efficiently packed for you, or as a gift for someone else and we’re the only ones in the UK that sell aromatic tea bouquets. Even though we travel far and wide to bring you tea, we believe in keeping things small and intensely local. All of our teas are hand-picked and treated with care."
And the reviews are glowing. Rik Lowthion said: "Enjoyed our coffee and tea, brewed to perfection and with great service. Will definitely call back when in Leeds again."
Katie Cobb added: "I'm so glad I found this absolute gem. The range is awesome and really well-priced. Currently trying a chai red bush on a recommendation and it's really lovely."
Samantha Lowthion said: "Had a white vanilla tea, very nice, brewed to perfection."
