A new Sky original drama partly filmed in Bristol will air tomorrow night (June 16). The Lazarus Project, which stars Emmy and BAFTA-nominated actor Paapa Essiedu will begin on Sky Max after filming took place last year in Bristol, supported by the city's film office.
The show - produced by Urban Myth Films in association with Sky Studios - was filmed in Bristol throughout the first six months of 2021. East Street in Bedminster was simultaneously out of action but full of action as it was closed off for filming and transformed into a typical 1990s street, complete with 90s style bookies and electronic store exteriors.
Other locations across Bristol were also used for the filming of The Lazarus Project. These included Brandon Hill, Christmas Steps, King Street, Unity Street, Ashton Avenue Swing Bridge, The Engineers House in Clifton Down and Brunel House.
