The substantial new Disney Dreamlight Valley update brings more Frozen, some Encanto magic, and – finally – more storage space to the life-sim, and it’s live now on all platforms. Olaf is the new Frozen character making his way to the valley, and you can welcome Mirabel from Encanto and her house.
Speaking of houses, Gameloft added new house colors for free and house “skins” in the game’s premium store, which is also new and takes Moonstones as currency. You can get more free Moonstones each day now as well. You’ll find more stuff for sale at Scrooge’s shop too, which still costs gold instead of Moonstones.
The new update adds the option to alter your doors and use wallpapers on a wall-by-wall basis so you can mix and match to your heart’s content.
A fresh story chapter delves into the secrets of the Forgetting, and your neighbors remembered some new lines to say. Every valley dweller will have new daily conversation topics to help keep things fresh, and you can craft manuals to teach them new roles around town.
Best of all, Gameloft is increasing storage capacity. Storage chests can hold more, fridges and cabinets can hold items now, and you can auto-sort everything in your inventory to make finding and organizing much simpler.
Finally is a special Star Path – Dreamlight Valley’s battle pass, so to speak – celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary.
This is all just the start of Gameloft’s plans for Dreamlight Valley in 2023. The dev team’s roadmap includes more Lion King in April, story quests in the summer, multiplayer, and much more.
Gameloft has the full set of patch notes on their website.
