The latest COVID-19 case numbers from around the states and territories

Here's a quick wrap of each Australian jurisdiction's latest COVID-19 statistics today — Tuesday, July 26.

Victoria

There have been another 40 COVID-19 deaths.

There are 869 cases in hospital, with 39 of those in intensive care and 12 requiring ventilation.

There were 12,339 new cases today. 

NSW

The state has recorded 30 more COVID-19 deaths. 

There are 2,344 cases in hospital, 66 of those in intensive care. 

There were 14,067 new cases announced today.

Tasmania

Tasmania has recorded two more COVID-19 deaths.

There are 177 people in hospital with the virus, with three of those in intensive care. 

There were 1,328 new cases announced today.

Queensland

Queensland has reported 21 COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

There are 1,123 people in hospital with the virus, with 31 of those in intensive care. 

There were 8,612 new cases announced today.

ACT

The ACT has reported no new COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The territory has 151 people in hospital with the virus, including one person in intensive care.

There were 949 new cases announced today.

Western Australia

WA has reported four new COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The state has 457 people in hospital with the virus, including 17 in intensive care.

There were 4,409 new cases announced today.

Northern Territory

The NT has reported no new COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The territory has 71 people in hospital with the virus, including one in intensive care.

There were 530 new cases announced today.

South Australia

South Australia has reported three new COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The state has 379 people in hospital with the virus, including seven in intensive care.

There were 3,773 new cases announced today.
