Quarterbacks! So many to talk about and consider in Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft! Will we get more than the big four that have been discussed a lot?
Will Michael Penix Jr. be among those hearing their names called on the first night? He’s been in a few mock drafts, but not in our latest NFL mock draft from Christian D’Andrea. I’ve seen a few mocks that have Penix in the second. But in Daniel Jeremiah’s latest mock for NFL.com, he’s got Penix going No. 13 to the Las Vegas Raiders, who absolutely need a QB of the future soon.
What’s his take? Here you go:
The Raiders signed Gardner Minshew to compete against Aidan O’Connell. However, I don’t think those two quarterbacks have the ceiling that Penix does in the NFL. There’s an assumption that Penix is more of a second-rounder, but I believe his skill set is a unique fit for the Raiders’ style of play.
