The job vacancies in Greater Manchester you can apply for now that don’t require any qualifications

January is often a busy time for both employers and employees, as many of us fancy a change come the new year. Maybe you’re after a new job as part of a New Year’s resolution, or just want to kick off the new year by forging a new path.

There are countless job opportunities across Greater Manchester which are perfect for someone looking to start 2023 with a bang. There are also many exciting roles that don’t require candidates to have any qualifications.

From careers in social care to hospitality, there is plenty on offer in our region. So, if you’re looking for a career change, or are taking your first steps into the working world, here are some of the roles you can apply for now:

Team Member – Pizza Hut (Manchester)

Up to £9.50 per hour (dependent on age) plus tips

Pizza Hut’s Corporation Street branch has an opportunity to join the team of a bustling city centre restaurant and help to deliver spectacular guest experiences.

Duties within this role include:

  • Supporting the team whether in the kitchen or front of house
  • Keeping the restaurant looking its best.
  • Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards.
  • Listening to, and carrying out, customer and colleague requests.

The ideal candidate will be positive, strive for perfection, and want to provide outstanding customer service. This role may be situated with the kitchen team or front of house.

This is a permanent position with a mixture of shift patterns from Monday to Sunday, though family-friendly flexible working is available.

Support Worker – David Lewis (Stockport)

£22,079.98 – £23,930.96 per annum (based on working a minimum two in four weekends)

David Lewis is seeking a Support Worker to join its specialist school and support young people and adults with learning difficulties, epilepsy and autism in their daily lives.

The company – based in Warford, near Alderley Edge – provides care, education, assessment, treatment and skill development for people aged 16 years upwards with complex needs. As a member of the David Lewis team, you will help individuals gain independence, positive identity, self-esteem and personal control over their lives with specialised support packages.

Working patterns will consist of a mixture of both early and late shifts, from 7.30am to 3.00pm or 2.00pm to 9.30pm. Candidates will be required to work at least two weekends out of four.

Weekend work is paid at 1.3 times the basic rate, while Bank Holiday working is paid up to three times the basic rate.

Full-time and part-time roles are available, with comprehensive accredited induction and training provided.

Squad Member – YO! Sushi (Manchester Piccadilly)

£9.50 per hour plus tips

Located on the mezzanine floor of Manchester Piccadilly station, YO! Sushi is looking to add a new member to its squad of sushi experts.

With this role, you will:

  • Be given the opportunity to become a YO! Pro, learning what means to master the menus and earn up to £10.00 per hour as part of the Super Squad bonus.
  • Be expected to support the squad in all areas of the restaurant and kitchen, while promoting YO! Sushi’s culture of collaboration, initiative, and teamwork.

Up to £10.84 per hour

Premier Inn – the UK’s biggest hotel brand – has an opportunity to join its Prestwich branch as a housekeeper.

No experience is required, but candidates should be able to tell when something is not quite right, whether that is a mark, stain or smudge. You will want pull out all stops to get everything clean and fresh on time, while using cleaning equipment safely.

You will be expected to keep bedrooms and bathrooms spotless, from fresh sheets to shiny mirrors. Candidates will receive a full induction and award-winning training.

This is a part-time role with 20 hours per week required, while flexible working will be supported where possible.

Care Assistant – Cera (Longsight)

£10.00 – £10.50 per hour

If you pride yourself on your kindness, compassion and dedication, then a career in social care may be for you. Cera has several opportunities to work as a Care Assistant across the region.

Duties within this role may include:

  • Providing a helping hand by visiting people in their own homes once or several times a day.
  • Helping them get up, get washed and dressed.
  • Making sure they have grocery supplies and a hot meal.
  • Ensuring their homes are kept safe and tidy.

Full training will be provided along with an induction programme. Full-time and part-time hours are available with a variety of shifts including guaranteed hours or flexible contracts where applicable.

A driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential, milage will be paid by Cera.

Nursery Assistant – Bright Horizons (Manchester)

£20,748.00 – £21,403.20 per annum

If you are interested in working in childcare, then Bright Horizons nursery has an opportunity join the team at its site in the heart of Manchester where you will look after babies and children up to the age of five

Responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Having daily adventures with children through interactive play, activities, reading and helping with their curious minds through the learning curriculum.
  • Communicating with parents daily on their child’s activities.
  • Provide a caring and supporting environment where the children feel safe and looked after.
  • Listening to the children’s needs and responding in the right way.
  • Promoting and ensuring child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children and a passion for making learning fun and engaging for every child. Candidates will have the opportunity to complete an Early Years qualification if desired.

This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week required.

The iconic American style restaurant TGI Fridays is looking to expand the team of waiting staff at its Cheadle branch.

This is a full-time role with 35 hours per week required. Flexible working patterns are available.
