The Jets’ Michael Carter mocked Jaylen Waddle’s signature celebration amidst a beatdown of Dolphins

In Zach Wilson’s second start of the 2022 season, the Jets largely had their way with the Dolphins. New York’s thrashing of Miami was so profound that it scored 40 points without a passing touchdown in a dominant 40-17 win.

Most of the damage the Jets inflicted on the Dolphins’ poor defense was on the ground. Breece Hall and Michael Carter had their way with a Miami front that had no answer for a New York mandate to pound the ball. And with the Dolphins’ offense struggling to do anything meaningful simultaneously, Carter decided to pour a little salt in the wound after scoring a fourth-quarter touchdown that padded the Jets’ lead.

How? Carter mimed Waddle’s signature “waddle” celebration to a tee in the end zone:

You know that perfect impression was planned a long time in advance. (Note: Waddle finished the afternoon with three catches for 23 yards; Carter had two touchdowns.) With a ground game effort like the Jets just enjoyed in a win, Carter certainly earned the right to mock one of the Dolphins’ top players.

NFL fans thought Carter's impression of Waddle's celebration was perfect
