The Inn Collection Group expands into new head office at Newcastle's Quorum Park

Leisure company The Inn Collection Group has moved its head office to larger premises to accommodate ongoing growth across its operations.

The rapidly rising pub and hotel owner has moved its 60-strong head office and central reservations team from Alnwick, Northumberland, into new premises at Newcastle’s Quorum Park, as it continues its expansion.

The company, which now employs more than 800 staff, has expanded into the Q5 building at the Benton business park to give it room for its growing workforce.

Established in 2006, the firm – which owns 31 inns across Tyneside, Northumberland, County Durham, Teesside, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Wearside and North Wales – has been executing a rapid “buy and develop” growth strategy, seeking to expand outside its heartland North East.

In February the firm was sold by previous owners Alchemy Partners to a new firm owned by the Harris family in conjunction with Kings Park Capital, a month after OakNorth, the UK bank for entrepreneurs, injected £42m into the business to fund the refurbishment of a number of sites as well as fuel further expansion.

In addition to new build sites, The Inn Collection Group specialises in the acquisition and enhancement of under-invested sites.

Managing director Sean Donkin said the move will pave the way for the pubco’s continued growth as it expands its portfolio of sites.

He said: “Our relocation marks a whole new chapter for The Inn Collection Group’s development. It comes following an exceptionally dynamic period for the company, with the recent opening of The Northallerton Inn in North Yorkshire, four acquisitions - including our first site in Wales - and new ownership structure with The Harris Family Trusts.

“Upgrading into larger, new premises will create a fantastic working environment for our existing central team while futureproofing us for staff growth as we continue to execute expansion plans.”

The Inn Collection Group’s people director Liz Robertson said: “We are really excited to be investing in an exceptional work space for our team to flourish and develop, with the flexibility to take on more staff as we grow. Quorum Park is incredible with outstanding aspects our team can benefit from, including outside sports areas, state-of-the-art gym, social events and eateries.

“For the company there are so many facilities such as large training spaces with the ability to have large groups together and great outdoor spaces for socialising.”

The Inn Collection Group launched its Eat, Drink, Sleep and Explore model 16 years ago at its former headquarters in Cawledge Park, Alnwick,

Alongside its high-performing trading venues, The Inn Collection Group is carrying out major investment and redevelopment works at several sites ahead of re-openings including The Park in Tynemouth, North Tyneside, The Ripon Spa in Ripon, North Yorkshire and The Swan at Grasmere, Cumbria.
