Leeds United’s Jack Harrison is among football’s elite so far this season for chances created in Europe’s top five leagues. Harrison is ranked 10th from across the continent out of players playing in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
The 25-year-old has created 18 chances in his opening six matches, with only nine players ahead of him. Despite his slow start to the season, Mohamed Salah is currently at the top of the rankings, while Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kevin de Bruyne also feature on the list.
That also puts Harrison top of the pile for chances created in the Other 14, which is an account that compiles statistics for the Premier League excluding the so called ‘big six’. With 3.47, Harrison also averages the most chances created per 90, 0.59 ahead of the next on the list Daniel Podence.

This is just another marker that highlights the excellent start to the campaign Harrison has had from an individual point of view – arguably his best in a Leeds shirt. He has scored one goal and provided three assists already so far this season, though of those contributions did arrive in the first three matches.
That assist tally has already eclipsed what he managed in the whole of last season, when he managed just one. Harrison will know that if he wants to defy the odds of making a late play to be named in England’s World Cup squad, he must continue this form.
