The family of English footballer Jayden Wareham is mourning the death of his 2-year-old brother, Hartley Wareham, who died days after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool while the family was on holiday in Spain. An inquest heard that the toddler was discovered face down in the pool on June 28 before emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he remained in intensive care.
Despite doctors' efforts, Hartley died on July 3. Following an investigation, officials determined that his death resulted from immersion in water, with sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) listed as contributing causes.
