Chris Sutton has criticised Daizen Maeda's impending £10 million move to Ipswich Town.
The Sky Sports pundit has called the deal a "bad deal for Celtic and Maeda."

On X, he has insisted the forward is "worth much more than £10 million" and will "find himself playing Championship football the following season."
This comes as Celtic have, in principle, accepted an offer from the newly promoted Premier League side. The clubs are now finalising the payment structure and add-ons.
Maeda, who has been central to the team over the past four and a half years, is in the final year of his contract. He is keen to seize what he views as his best chance to play in the Premier League.

Those of a Celtic persuasion may feel the fee is low for a player of his calibre. On paper, the club can replace Maeda's goals, pace, and versatility.
However, Sutton believes it will be challenging for Martin O'Neill and his recruitment team to match Maeda's engine and pressing, as well as the unseen work that drives the team's intensity.
