John Pearce is very aware that fans refer to him as “the hot Wiggle”, and he's fully embracing it. Since he joined the children’s group in 2021 and adopted the moniker “Big Strong John”, fans of all ages have screamed his name at concerts, commented on his social media “thirst traps” and approached him in public.
The intense amount of attention would be a lot for any regular person to handle, but the entertainer is no stranger to fandom culture. Pearce was famously a member of the dance group Justice Crew from 2009 to 2020, with the group winning Australia’s Got Talent in 2010, releasing a string of chart-topping singles and opening for artists like Pitbull, Janet Jackson and One Direction on tour.
