The Hoppings organisers have confirmed that for the first time in the fair's history, visitors will be able to buy drinks from a licensed bar.
While over the years, thrill seekers have been able to down slushes and tuck into donuts, sweets, burgers, noodles and such like before or after braving some of The Hoppings rides, one thing they've never been able to do is sink a pint or two, with strict rules also in force on bringing alcohol into the annual Town Moor event. But that's all changing this year as it has been announced that, as well as having its own Food Village, the fair will have its own bar, which will be available to those who buy food.
Excitement is now at fever pitch for the return of The Hoppings to Newcastle, after it was cancelled in both 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. It will return to the Moor with more than 450 rides, stalls and attractions.
