At Christmas time, there's nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa with your cosiest blanket and settling in to watch your favourite festive films. And what could make you feel more warm and fuzzy inside than The Holiday?
The 2006 Christmas classic boasts a cast of Hollywood royalty including Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Cameron Diaz and Jack Black - as well as a few cameos from some other famous faces. The story follows Amanda, a trailer producer from LA, and Iris, a journalist from Surrey, as they swap homes for Christmas to get away from their love life troubles.
Iris is astonished to find Amanda lives a luxurious lifestyle alongside the rich and famous and quickly makes friends with her elderly neighbour, a screenwriter from Hollywood's heyday, while Amanda struggles to adjust to living in Iris' cute but cold countryside cottage. Soon enough, their adventures as single women are thrown into chaos when new men show up on their doorsteps.
