Starring some of Hollywood's finest including Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black, the Universal Pictures movie tells the story of how two women who have never met and live 6,000 miles apart, find themselves in the same exact place.
Iris and Amanda are two unlucky-in-love women who try to escape from their everyday lives by swapping houses over the festive season.
Amanda, (Cameron Diaz) finds a special connection with Iris’s brother Graham (Jude Law) while Iris (Kate Winslet) learns how to recover from unrequited love with the help of Miles (Jack Black).
Set in both sunny California and the snowy landscapes of the English countryside, the film focuses on newfound friendships and finding love when least expected, in the most heartwarming and festive way.
Released back in 2006, The Holiday is still one of the best-loved and most successful modern Christmas movies, having grossed $205 million at the box office when it first came out.
