The hilarious beef between Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie, explained

Yo. As a Wizards fan, I feel very secure in saying this. Kyle Kuzma may have just unlocked the most impressive W of the season.

The Wizards forward took to Twitter to completely roast Spencer Dinwiddie after his former teammate questioned Kuzma’s and the Wizards’ priorities — again.

He did it last year after Washington traded him to the Mavericks and he decided to play like, well, an NBA player again. Then, it happened again this season after the Mavericks lost to the Wizards and Dinwiddie chose to go at his former teammates by saying they’re there just to get paid.

And, yes, that was a direct shot at Kyle Kuzma who is set to sign a new deal this summer as a free agent.

Dinwiddie came at Kuz one more time on Wednesday in an appearance with FanDuel TV. And, apparently, that was the final straw for Kuzma.

He completely roasted dude. It was bad, y’all. Really bad.

YOOOOOOO. What did Kuz say?

The man dropped a whole thread about Spencer Dinwiddie. Out of nowhere, too. It was wild.

WARNING: There is some NSFW language in these tweets

BOUNCED AROUND LIKE A BASKETBALL. I cannot, man.

Kuz touched on everything. He went in on how bad Dinwiddie was as a Wizards — and, yeah, he was awful — to his whole crypto contract investment that doesn’t look to great right now to how Dinwiddie doesn’t actually have anything to do with the Nets being a playoff team.

He also threw in a “Go Sixers” at the end for good measure. PET. TEE.

WOW. What did Dinwiddie do to deserve this?

Well, like I said at the top, things didn’t end well with Dinwiddie in Washington. As a Wizards fan, I got a front-row seat to it.

The team signed Dinwiddie expecting him to be the No. 2 option behind Bradley Beal. It didn’t work out, which, fine. It’s whatever.

It seems pretty clear that Dinwiddie was, uh, let’s say, less than enthused with his time at Washington. Every chance he’s gotten he’s taken shots at the organization, its culture and its players — especially Kuzma.

So what did he actually say about Kuzma?

Dinwiddie went IN on Kuzma.

There’s a lot of guys in the NBA that really pour their heart and soul into basketball. There are a lot of guys that have different things that drive and motivate them. I think if we look at him and the way he approaches life, fame, all that stuff, his priorities tend to vary. That’s why he dressed the way he does. That’s why he approached basketball the way he does — the comments he makes. Like I said with the Draymond quote, insecurity is loud. You know that you’re there shooting shots to get a contact. You’re probably not even a third star, really, on a good team. Because if you were the Lakers would’ve kept you. Part of the reason you left was to try to make more money. These are all things that are facts.”

The dude went in on Kuzma himself, so the response isn’t unwarranted at all.

Yooooooo why would Dinwiddie say all that?

It was basically in response to this tweet from Kuzma.

That was all the way back in January. Like I said, this beef has been brewing for a minute.

So is it over now?

Knowing these two, probably not. It’ll probably be a thing for the rest of the time they’re both in the NBA. Clearly, neither one is willing to let things go at this point.

Think about it, y’all. Dinwiddie was traded in February — of 2022. It has been a full calendar year (!!!) since they played together. And, in between that time, they’ve both brought up this stuff over and over again.

The Kuzma-Dinwiddie beef is the gift that keeps on giving. And, well, let’s just say I think we’re all ready to keep receiving.
