The sun is shining (long may it continue), and like the rest of the city at the moment, we are on the hunt for the best places to enjoy it.
Perhaps even, with a cold beer in hand? Well, it appears that one spot just south of the city is topping the chart on popular review site TripAdvisor when it comes to just that – and even comes with a delicious pizza offering too.
The Stewart Brewing site in Loanhead is home to the Beer and Pizza and Kitchen, which is currently riding high as the number-one restaurant in the capital. Beating out the previous long-stay champion and local favourite Quinn's Café, the beer garden and pizzeria is impressing fans with its exciting set-up.

Sitting pretty with nearly 300 reviews, 292 of which are very good or above (288 excellent) it seems the team have really been making an impression, and with the brewery easily accessible from the city centre by car, bus and train, it could quickly become a go-to spot this summer.
One fan said: "Awesome beer, awesome pizzas. Highly recommend. Service is excellent, everyone here seems to love beer and food and love talking about their products. Had a lovely evening."
While another added: "My brother was visiting me from Canada for the weekend and wanted to visit a local Edinburgh brewery. Stewart Brewing was the absolute best choice.
"Not only did he enjoy the beer, but the whole atmosphere was amazing. The staff were very friendly, pizza was delicious, and we had a great time. I definitely recommend Stewart Brewing!"
Others said the pizza was the "best they had in the city" and heaped praise on the "warm and welcoming" staff.
Another happy customer said: "This place is quickly becoming one of favourite places to go to for a nice and easy date night. The pizzas are so good, the beer is great, but most importantly the staff are just amazing."
