Titanic will forever be in the hearts of viewers as one of the most tear-jerking films to ever exist.
The hit James Cameron-directed film made bonafide stars out of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet when it hit the big screens in 1997 and quickly won plaudits across the world. It tells the story of a wealthy teen who meets an artist on board the ill-fated ship and quickly falls in love.
Of course, the end of the movie, when Jack succumbs to his death in the freezing waters, has always been dubbed as one of its most emotional scenes.
However, one particular deleted scene is doing the rounds online, which appears to be tenfold more devastating.
The clip, which is featured as an extra scene from the DVS, begins when Rose, played by Winslet, climbs aboard the rescue ship the Carpathia, where she is immediately given extra blankets and a warm drink.
With the haunting Titanic soundtrack playing in the background, she walks around the ship where everyone desperately looks for their loved ones.
In particular, Mr. Ismay (Jonathan Hyde), who was a high-ranking official in the company that owned the Titanic, looks particularly tortured and guilt-ridden following the tragic events.
Meanwhile, Ruth, who was taken on by actress Frances Fisher, tugs at heartstrings as she looks relentlessly for her daughter.
While these deleted scenes make for an even more emotional watch, it's hard to imagine Titanic being released to audiences in any other way.
However, that was very nearly the case as then 23-year-old Leonardo was very nearly sacked from the job after refusing to read from the script during the audition process and later refusing to do a screen test with his future co-star Kate.
Director James recalled the moment, saying he was initially "charmed" by Leo during the first meeting and a few days later arranged for him to do a screen test with Kate, who he had already cast in the role of Rose Dewitt-Bukater.
However, he was soon met by arrogance from the young actor, which nearly forced him to look elsewhere for the role of Jack.
Speaking to GQ, James said when he confronted Leo about his behaviour, he reluctantly agreed with James, recalling that he was "so negative" right until he said "action" and then when he "turned into Jack".
Needless to say, the movie Titanic is one for the ages and is still hugely popular today, almost 25 years after its release.
Netflix added the epic movie to its titles on July 1, giving fans a new way to catch the film. It's also still available to stream on Prime Video.
