Keeping the kids busy during February half term can be tricky. But if you are stuck for things to do then there are plenty of activities taking place across Greater Manchester.
Several events will be happening at East Lancashire Railway’s Bury Transport Museum this week which will capture kids’ imaginations. The week begins with ‘Malice in Wonderland’ on February 21, where families will have to search for clues through the museum’s exhibits and artefacts.
Then on February 22 kids can take part in Dragon Quest and enter a magical world. It will feature a part mystery, part scavenger hunt and part treasure trail, where families will have to complete magical missions and solve puzzles to become ‘the master of dragons’.

Along the way you’ll meet some weird and wonderful characters, including a pixie who’s grown too tall and a wise old elf who doesn’t know anything. Not to mention lots of dragons, too.
On February 23 and 24 family favourite Peppa Pig will be taking over with the Peppa Pig and Friends Fun Days. The event kicks off with a meet and greet with Peppa and George, and then there’s an activity trail, a fair, face painters craft activities and even meet farmyard friends at the petting zoo.
Trains won’t be running as the railway is closed for refurbishment so all events are held exclusively at the Bury Transport Museum. Ticket start from £12 and for more information and to book, click here.
