The next phase of a £4m development project will be unveiled to the public this week.
The Grand on Lord Street in Southport opened in July and this Friday will see the official opening of the 250-seat Princess Grace Suite. The function room on the second floor of the art deco venue features the restored Disney windows, created in the 1930s following an agreement from Walt Disney himself when the building was used as a cinema.
The scenes feature a series of Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Harry’s Bar and the Sky Bar on the top floor are scheduled to open in the spring of next year while phase two of the extensive renovation programme will see hotel rooms and spa facilities added.
