The Gower farm famous for its sunflowers has just opened lavender fields for the summer

A Gower farm, which many will know for its amazing sunflower fields, is also opening up a picture-perfect lavender field this summer. With the sunflowers also making a return, there are many opportunities to grab an Instagram-worthy snap.

Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, also known for its Christmas tree farm during the winter, is the brains behind the gorgeous sunflowers at Rhossili. This year the sunflower fields are set to open to the public in July, with no exact opening date yet, but back at the farm the new lavender field is already open for you to enjoy.

Rows of gorgeous purple lavender stretch out across the field which is filled with its floral and fresh scent. There is also a lavender arch you, or your furry friend, can pose in front of to capture the moment. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.

The lavender field is open to families and you can take your dog along too. You can find the lavender field at Gower Fresh Christmas Trees Farm, Poundffald Farm, Three Crosses, Swansea, SA4 3PB.

Tractor rides to the field cost £2 per person and at the moment there are no set opening times for the lavender field. Gower Fresh Christmas Trees post weekly to their Facebook and Instagram page, you can find the Facebook page here, with announcements when the field is open in the coming days.

The farm has confirmed that the lavender field will be open on Saturday, July, 2, and Sunday, July, 3 with exact times to be announced. Already the field has brought many visitors to the farm which also has reindeer feeding, a cafe, and a farmers' market.

Later in summer of 2022 the famous Rhossili sunflowers will be making a return and raising money for NCI coast watch and DPJ Foundation, which is a charity that helps people in the farming community with their mental health.
